Riding through Middle-earth

Endless open spaces, untouched by humans. Lush green grass and mosses, graphite-colored rocks, and sapphire lakes. Snow-capped peaks and blue glaciers shimmer on the horizon, adding depth to the landscape. And a grey ribbon of winding gravel road snakes through it all.

Get ready for an unforgettable cycling adventure through the heart of Norway. Our route takes us from Bergen to Trondheim, offering 10 days full of challenges, breathtaking views, and close encounters with nature. Along the way, we’ll cross rugged fjords, vast plateaus, and picturesque valleys where time seems to slow down. The camp is fully supported – we ride light, and your luggage is transported by a support vehicle.

While nearly 1000 km of gravel might sound daunting, the route is only moderately demanding. Technically, the trails are easy, and the climbs are gentle. Yet each day brings something new – different views, changing vegetation, and ever more majestic glaciers. The ascent to Slettefjell will reward us with stunning summit views.

Jotunheimen National Park, the land of giants, will impress with its vast open spaces.

Rondane will captivate with plunging granite walls, smoothed by glaciers.

Dovre will make us feel like hobbits traveling through Middle-earth.

This is a repeat of the route we rode last year, which left us absolutely amazed. Here’s how we described our experience back then.

This is the second edition of this camp; all photos on this page are from the previous edition.

Flights

You book your flights on your own. Recommended connections:

  • 09.07: Wizzair Gdańsk - Bergen (06:05-08:00)
  • 19.07: Wizzair Trondheim - Gdańsk (08:55-10:50)

No need to buy checked baggage – we transport your luggage and bike by van.

For the above flights we provide airport transfers, so you don’t have to worry about a thing. If you choose different flights, just send us your schedule — we’ll try to arrange an alternative transfer.

Transport

Two days before departure (07.07) we pack all bikes and luggage into our van in Warsaw, with an additional pickup stop in Poznań. Two days after the return flight (21.07) we’ll deliver the bikes and luggage back to the same locations.

If you're coming from another part of Poland, let us know in the registration form — we’ll try to work something out.

Accommodation

This is a moving trip – almost every night we stay in a different location. Accommodation standards vary – mostly we stay in holiday cabins, in 4-person rooms with bunk beds. Some nights will be in apartments or guesthouses, with access to a washing machine whenever possible at most locations. We recommend taking a light sleeping bag - it might get cold during the night.

For an additional 3600 PLN, single-room accommodation is available.

Welcome Pack

Welcome to the family! ENDLESS is more than just bikes – it’s a set of values and a way of life. We focus on quality accessories – no cheap, mass-produced gear. On the camp, you’ll receive a welcome pack from us:

At the first camp of the year: cycling socks and a water bottle.

The socks are made in Poland by Raso, using high-quality materials. The bottle? BPA-free, dishwasher-safe, and most importantly – it does not affect the taste of your drink.

At the second camp of the year: a t-shirt and a bandana.

A high-quality organic cotton t-shirt (230 g/m²) with embroidered chest logo. The bandana is sewn in Poland from soft, lightweight cotton – the most stylish accessory for a gravel look, perfect both on and off the bike.

At the third camp of the year: the Isadore x ENDLESS cycling jersey.

A top-tier summer cycling jersey, designed in collaboration with the Slovak premium cycling apparel brand Isadore. A tailored fit, made in Slovakia from the highest-quality, breathable and soft-to-the-touch fabrics.

Route

We’ll cover 942 km with 14,800 m of elevation gain. The route follows very good gravel and asphalt – there are no technically difficult sections. In numbers, the route is impressive – yet it’s way easier than it seems, thanks to gentle gradients and excellent surfaces. The gravel-to-asphalt ratio is 51/49%.

Norway’s terrain is unique – it consists largely of plateaus. This means we’ll occasionally face long climbs or descents, but there will also be many relatively flat sections.

The main challenge is the length of the route (10 riding days) and unpredictable weather. We are in Scandinavia, so we could have beautiful sun one day and several days of rain the next.

Availability of shops/food along the way – we pass through towns with stores at least 1–2 times per day, so you generally don’t need to carry much food or water. However, there will be stretches of 4–5 hours through the middle of nowhere, so it’s wise to bring more than just bars or gels.

We recommend a gravel bike with tires around 40 mm wide.

Note: we reserve the right to introduce changes to the itinerary that do not significantly affect distances or total elevation gain.
